How it all started...
Our church was planted in the town of Chandler, but when the railroad station closed so did the post office and soon everything else. Yet the little church continued and grew.
Now, while the town has been annexed by Liberty, our church presses forward. Through the years we have grown from the little white building with a separate door for men and women. Now we are bigger, not only in our structures, but our theology empowers everyone to live out God's calling!

A different kind of Baptist
Chandler is a moderate Baptist church affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. What this means is that we celebrate our Baptist heritage of congregational leadership. And we boldly believe in the priesthood of each believer -- all of God's children are empowered by the Spirit to lead. In practice this means Chandler has and celebrates women deacons and ministers.
