Having been influenced by the Holy Spirit to turn from our sins and to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior; and on profession of our faith in Him, having been baptised in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit we do solemnly and joyfully covenant with each other that, by the help of God, we will walk together in Him and brotherly love, to His glory as our common Lord and Savior.
Furthermore, we do promise that we will exercise a mutual care, as members one of another, to watch over and counsel each other in love; that we will remember one another in prayer and that we will aid each other in sickness and distress.
We further agree that we will uphold the public worship of God and the ordinances of His church; that we will endeavor to spread the Gospel both at home and throughout all the world, and the we will give, as God had prospered us, for the support of the gospel ministry.
We further covenant to maintain private and family prayer and to endeavor to bring up our children and those in our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
We also promise that we will strive to live carefully in this present world, and to abstain from anything that will bring reproach upon the cause of Christ and His church; that we will strive to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, and that we will trust ourselves fully to Him, that we will humbly and earnestly seek to live to the honor and glory of Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.
